Sustainable tourism - whale and dolphin watching

WDCS, the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society owns a responsible whale and dolphin watching tour operator called Out of the Blue. All profits go back to the charity.

Out of the Blue aims to set an example to the whale watching industry - our trips don't impact on these animals and cetacean experts/researchers lead. WDCS sees responsible whale and dolphin watching as the alternative to cetacean captivity and whaling and offers holidays in Scotland, Wales and a wide range of international destinations - please go to www.wdcs.org/outoftheblue for further details.

Trees as biomass fuel

My current project is about increasing the use of biomass fuel in the UK so I was intrigued by this site, which has a lot of useful knowledge about the qualities of wood and legend and lore connected with trees and timber:

The-Tree.org.uk
'a resource and meeting place for tree lovers and green activists:
Woodland and forest knowledge, forest ecology, guide to British trees, tree-medicine, traditions, cultivation and crafts, eco-spirituality, Tree Community Message Boards, news and campaigns for conservation and sustainability.'
